Why doesn't TurboStorm match the new Wind mitigation forms?

What do I select in a Windstorm Mitigation feature's entry field if a particular item does not apply?

What you should know and select when a risk with a Reinforced Concrete Roof Deck is rated with Windstorm Mitigation.

Rated a Commercial-Residential Wind Only policy with reinforced concrete roof with no opening protection and class A, B & C protection. A & B were more expensive than C & none.

On the new mitigation form you are given choices of Clips, Single Wraps, Double Wraps, Structural other unknown or no attic access. All turbo rater gives in Clips Single Wraps, or Double Wraps. You give no choice for structural. Structural is the best credit. Please see below what the mitigation inspector said and advise please Roof covering is FBC compliant, level A. Roof/deck attachment is D, reinforced concrete, the same as level C on the old form. The roof/wall attachment is structural. I don’t know why they marked single wraps on the old form. That only applies to wood roofs. Structural is the top rating. Finally, they do not qualify for opening protection. The answer is “X”. I hope that helps. It sounds as if your rating software has not kept up with the form changes mandated by the state…

Why is the Wind Mitigation selection not available when I am rating a Commercial Non-Residential risk?

When inputting Mitigation Features, the 'year of construction' comes up. Would this be the year of the construction of the roof updates or the original year the building was built?

On my mitigation form for both Roof Deck Attachment and Roof-Wall Connection, the Mitigation form has NO ATTIC ACCESS checked-off. When rating what options do I select, as No Attic Access is an option you can choose? Also, how does having no Attic Access under these categories affect the premium?

We have rated a risk with wind mitigation credits and when comparing to the renewal offer by Citizens, your system's Wind Mitigation Credit is $8,354 vs Citizen's $13,295. We have checked each detail of the mitigation and see that you system does not allow an n/a option for FBC Wind Speed or FBC Wind Design nor an option for n/a on the Roof-Wall Connection . These are the only differences in the details yet such a large difference in the credit allowed. Please advise if you have a rating error in your program; if not how can I get my quote corrected?
