What Special Class Property items will Citizens not insure through the Wind Only program?

Answer / Solution

Special Class Property items NOT insured by Citizens: 

  • Amusement Equipment in the open
  • Awnings, and other fabric,thatch, grass, and palm covered /sided structures
  • Boardwalks, Catwalks, trestles and decks (detached, not over water)
  • Bridges – ( not foot bridges)
  • Cordwood, felled timber, stakes and railroad ties in the open
  • Cranes and other heavy machinery in the open
  • Driveways,courts,pads,and other similar structures, including tennis courts
  • Exhibit stands and booths in the open
  • Gas pumps and gas station canopies
  • Court lighting,parking meters,street signs, traffic signals, flagpoles, fire alarm
  • Machinery and equipment in the open
  • Tiki huts, chickees, gazebos, salt houses, bathhouses, pergolas, tents, and fabric
  • Open storage yards,other similar premises
  • Satellite dishes
  • Batting cages
  • Signs (whether attached or detached from a building)
  • Steeples
  • Statuary, monuments, fountains, or tombstones
  • Tanks and silos
  • Tents and fabric covered structures
  • Theaters – Drive in type, including screens and speakers
  • Towers, including radio and tv transmitting or receiving antennas
  • Smokestacks
  • Tunnel and underground passageways
  • Utility properties such as, outdoor transformer; switch station and equipment in
  • yard; transmission lines
  • Water or sewage lift pumps in open
  • Water flume(s)
  • Windmills, windpumps, or their towers, or metal smokestakes
