Question / Issue
How do I determine if a risk is in a Wind-Eligible area (Wind Pool)?

Answer / Solution

Determining a wind eligible area:

  1. Citizens has a lookup help for this by street address.
  2. This lookup will also determine the wind territory for you.
  3. TurboStorm has this lookup link next to the Territory entry.
  4. The link is a blue circle with a white question mark to open a separate browser window to access Citizen's Wind-Only Eligible area Street Directory.
  5. Click on the Instant Eligibility Search link near the bottom of the page.
  6. This will take you to the Wind Only Eligibility and Territory Search screen.
  7. Select your county and enter the street number and street name.
  8. Click on the Search  button.
  9. If the street that you typed in does not display on the next screen then most likely it is not in the Wind eligible area.

NOTE:  Along with the street name make sure that you type in the street type (St, Ave, Ln, etc) to get a more accurate search.  You can also look at the entire street directory by county list by clicking on the Browse or print street directories by county.
