Gainsco: Activate Consumer Bind Online (available in AZ & TX)

Answer / Solution

Note: If this is the first carrier you are setting up Consumer Online Binding for, please visit How to activate Consumer Bind Online Services for TurboRater for Websites.

  1. The client's payment to start the policy will be deposited into the agency's bank account (including any applicable agency fees).  Therefore, you will need to get a merchant account with the credit card vendor.  No worries though - the cost to process the credit card payments are passed onto the consumer.
    1. To activate a merchant account with the credit card vendor, contact TranzPay.  Click here for TranzPay's contact information.
  2. Once your account is setup with TranzPay, they will notify ITC.  A ITC bind online training specialist will then contact you to schedule a short overview session of the GAINSCO Buy Now process. 
    1. During this training you will
      1. Activate GAINSCO for BOL in your TurboRater for Websites' company group by following these steps:
        1. Edit your TurboRater for Websites' company group in TurboRater
        2. Place a checkmark next to GAINSCO (if not already active). 
        3. Enter your GAINSCO producer code and password
        4. Select Additional Information > Consumer Binding and check "Activate Consumer Binding through TurboRater for Websites"
      2. We will cover the entire Buy Now process and answer any questions you may have.

This should complete the setup of GAINSCO online binding.  To ensure everything is working, we recommend you visit your TurboRater for Websites site, enter a quote, and verify a "Buy Now" button appears next to a GAINSCO quote.
