I am getting an error message "7010 Problem with Advantage server file read" how do I fix it?

Answer / Solution

7010 - Problem with Advantage Server file read:

  1. This means that the Comparative Rater is having an issue with reading the tables in your quote file database.
  2. Have all users exit the program if you are on a network.
  3. Close any open quotes.
  4. Go to the Tools menu and select Advanced, then Reindex Databases
  5. You will receive a message to verify no other users are in the program, click on OK.
  6. The program will bring up the Database Initialization Process and run through each table in your quote file and then disappear, returning you to your blank screen.
