How do I set up my company's NAIC codes?

Answer / Solution

To set up NAIC codes in InsurancePro:

NOTE: NAIC are standard codes that help InsurancePro identify an Insurance Company when downloading transactions. NAIC codes must be set up before you start downloading from your companies in insurancePro.

  1. You need to contact your Insurance Company to receive the download NAIC codes  
  2. From the Agency Settings menu, select Insurance Companies.
  3. On the Insurance Companies screen, click on an Insurance Company name.
  4. At the bottom of the screen, click on Setup NAIC Codes.
  5. To add a code, simply follow the instructions on the top of the screen.
  6. You can add multiple NAIC Codes for the same company.
  7. Once you have entered an NAIC Code for an Insurance Company, InsurancePro can match it to select the correct company when downloading the ACORD AL3 Transaction.
