Question / Issue
How do I export my TurboRater leads into AgencyBuzz?

Answer / Solution

There are three ways you can export quotes from TurboRater into AgencyBuzz:

  1. Individually export a quote
  2. Set Auto Export to export your day’s quotes automatically
  3. Manually export a batch of quotes that meet your specified criteria

Individually export quotes one at a time:

    • Go to the Gear menu and select Preferences
    • On the Preferences screen, click on the Agency link on the left.
    • Now click on the AgencyBuzz button
    • Under the AgencyBuzz section, enter your AgencyBuzz Username and Password.  For single exports, set the Auto Export to No.
    • Click on the Save button and the bottom of the screen.
    • While in a quote, you can click on the AgencyBuzz icon in the toolbar to export the quote.
      • NOTE: You MUST have the First  and Last Name, as well as the email address entered in order for AgencyBuzz to accept a quote.
    • Once the quote has been exported, the icon will change to green and a note will be entered to document when the quote was exported.

Set Auto Export to export your quote automatically:

    • Go to the Gear menu and select Preferences
    • On the Preferences screen, click on the Agency link.
    • Now click on the AgencyBuzz button
    • Set the Auto Export entry field to Yes as well as entering in your user ID and password.  Click on the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
    • When a quote is saved, it will be automatically exported into AgencyBuzz.  A note will be entered in each quote to document when the quote was exported.
      • NOTE: You MUST have the First  and Last Name, as well as the email address entered in order for AgencyBuzz to accept a quote.  We recommend you set email address as a required field.  To Learn how to make email address a required entry, click here

Manually export a batch of quotes that meet your specified criteria:

To manually export the quotes, you will need to export your quotes to excel and then convert the file to a *.csv file. To do this:

    • Go to the Reports menu and select Basic or Advanced.
    • Specify the criteria for the quotes you want to export and click on the Excel Export button at the bottom of the screen.
    • Depending on the browser you are using, you may get a box that will ask you if you want to Open or Save the file.
      • If you select Save, you need to remember the location where this file is saved.  At this time you can create a new folder for this file. A suggestion for a file folder name is AgencyBuzz.  Your quotes will be exported to a file called quotes.xls.  Selecting Save will bring up the Save As screen (Depending on your OS, you may need to select New Folder or an icon that looks like a folder with a star)
    • Open the quotes.xls file in Excel.
      • Depending on your version of Excel, you may get a message warning you about the file format when opening this file, click Yes.
    • Then choose the Save As option in Excel to save the file. Once the Save As box appears, look to the Save as type entry field dropdown list at the bottom of the box and choose CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv).
    • Open AgencyBuzz
    • Select Import/Export
    • Select Import Contacts
    • Click Continue.
